Who are you?

Pow!
Ouch!
Why did you hit me?

Well, life has hit me between the eyes. With a question; who are you?

Then comes this quote:

Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.

George Bernard Shaw

I love it. I need want have to create! I have to write tweets, update my status, talk to the older people at church, the little ones who cross my path. I need to share my thougthts with my colleagues, show what the technology in a teacher's room can do for them. I have to share the article that makes sense after years of teaching, scoop the post that gives the very steps I need to write up for a current project.

I have to create.  What that is is dependent on my current mission.

My mission has changed. Slightly. What is it?

You'll be the second one to know.

Until then, keep creating and learning from your creations.

BTW, what have you created lately?

  1. Hi Rodney,

Recently I've created a post to learn and support others with close reading; a few comments to support young bloggers; some comments to support new bloggers; helped a young blogger with her new post; wrote about Good Friday; sent out a few Tweets; and have a letter I'd like to send to our Super about a colleague who has done a fabulous job and want to make sure he knows.

I believe what we create is the fruit that shows what's inside. I try to learn from my mistakes and do my best to make today a better day than yesterday. Yes, creating captures that, it helps push forward, especially when I am upset, on the verge of meltdown, ready to have a pity party, ... Creating is an outlet to strive for better, to learn, to move forward.

    Thanks for your post!

    Kind regards,
    Tracy

  2. I'm currently "creating" blog posts and tiny children. I'll let you know in a couple of years how that turned out. =)

  3. Tracy, thank you so much for your reaction and links. You are creating a culture of appreciation and respect within your sphere. That is a great outlet and response to your situation. You, my friend are inspiring. Thank you.

  4. Tima, Thank you for your reaction. Your creation of blog posts are great! Like Tracy said, they are the evidence of striving for something better, the fruit of what is inside. Your good fruit is also evidenced in your beautiful and sweet children. That fruit will not grow rotten as long as they are nourished by your wonderful and positive family atmosphere. Excited to see the produce in a few years!
